What is the PANI organisation?
PANI ( = water Indi ) is a non profit organisation whose purpose is to implement sustainable development projects. We want to share knowledge on technics respecting the environment and human life which are intimately linked, with anyone interested.
Specifically, the project in India is to create ponds or lagoons phytopurification (treatment of water by plants ) to give water autonomy to Mateura's residents, a small village of about 130 inhabitants (in the center) in the mountains of northern India.
The village has running water since few years and doesn't have infrastructure to collect and treat wastewaters.Used water flowing into the fields and the river below . Treat wastewater becomes an urgent problem to preserve the environment and quality of life of people .
The aim is that those ponds phytopurification are then supported independently and in the long run by locals. Partnership with residents is essential. We will make a work around awareness phytopurification , but also waste treatment with, for example the establishment of bins ..
